Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect from therapy?

Therapy is a collaborative process focused on understanding your experiences, patterns, and goals. Sessions provide a space to explore what you are going through, develop greater self-awareness, and work toward meaningful change at a pace that feels appropriate for you.

What concerns do you support?

I work with adults experiencing concerns related to anxiety, perfectionism, self-worth, depression, identity, relationships, neurodivergence, emotional regulation, and major life transitions. I also support individuals who are seeking greater self-understanding and personal growth.

What is your therapeutic approach?

My approach is integrative, drawing from psychodynamic therapy, narrative and existential perspectives, and evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, and DBT. This allows therapy to balance deeper exploration of patterns and experiences with practical strategies for change.

How often do we meet?

The frequency of sessions depends on your needs, goals, and preferences. Many clients begin with weekly sessions to build consistency and momentum, with frequency adjusted over time as appropriate.

How long does therapy take?

The length of therapy varies depending on what you are seeking support with and the goals we establish together. Some concerns may benefit from focused work, while deeper patterns and long-standing challenges may require more time and exploration.

Do you provide assessments or diagnoses?

Therapy can include exploring patterns, experiences, and concerns that may relate to mental health diagnoses and/or neurodivergence. If you are seeking a formal assessment or diagnosis, this can be discussed during consultation to determine the most appropriate next step.

Do you direct bill insurance?

Insurance coverage varies depending on your provider and plan. I recommend checking your extended health benefits to determine whether services from a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) are covered.
