IDENTITY & SELF-WORTH
Sometimes the question isn't "Who am I?" but "How much of who I am was built around being acceptable to other people?"

There are many ways to lose contact with your own measure of yourself.
You know intellectually that you're "good enough" but you rarely feel it.
You adapt easily to different people and environments, then wonder which version is actually you.
You know what is expected of you more readily than what you want.
Criticism can alter how you see yourself long after the interaction has ended.
A SELF DEVELOPS IN CONTEXT
Your Identity did not develop in isolation.
It has been shaped through relationships, culture, expectations, experiences, temperament, and the meanings you've endorsed from what has happened to you.
We learn what learns approval. What creates conflict. What makes us useful. What makes us desirable. What keeps us connected. Over time, an adaptation can become so familiar that it simply feels like who we are.

Self-understanding isn't only about discovering who you are. Sometimes it's about noticing who you've had to be.
